About Us

Established in 1970, Wentworth Construction (NE.) Ltd are a private, family owned company with a long standing reputation for both service and quality throughout the North East Region.

 

George Alberts, the founder member and Senior Director along with son Darren Alberts, Director and Co-Secretary continue to oversee the day to day running of the company, bringing approximately 90 years of combined experience within the construction industry.

The company has grown from strength to strength over the years with many of its trusted workforce and clients having remained with us throughout this journey.

 

As a long established SME based in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, our client base covers Housing Associations, Local Authorities and Private Clients. In effect, we are a “One Stop Shop” for all aspects of building work.

General Information

Having partnered a large housing association for the last 8 years, and carrying out all of their disabled adaptations throughout the North East Region, consisting of pre-start surveys and design through to completion, we have become specialists in the disabled adaptation field.

Some of these services include wet floor showers, level access showers, kitchen adaptations, fixed and portable ramps, internal and external handrails as well as door entry systems.
